Industry Guidance From Advanced Reactor Corporation (ARC)

The Advanced Reactor Corporation (ARC) was formed to oversee the development of advanced plant designs including the AP600 during the First-of-a-Kind Engineering phase. The ARC organization consisted of personnel from operating electric utility companies. The ARC project office was co-located with Westinghouse so that ARC personnel could closely scrutinize AP600 design work to verify that utility industry requirements were addressed. Moreover, Westinghouse solicited input from ARC personnel as part of the on-going design process to assure that the AP600 benefited from operating plant experience.
